There comes a time

When you have to realize that you can only do so much without going insane. No one likes an insane student/wife/mommy. So my latest realization has been about my class schedule. My plan was to take 12 credits this semester and 13 next. With the type of classes I have this semester alone this won't work. So I dropped a class and now have 9 credits. I figured that in 4 years I could have a bachelor's degree and be licensed physical therapy assistant. But that meant a lot of stress and more time than I have. So my focus right now is going to be becoming a PTA and not worry about a bachelors. I think this will be the best thing for me and my family even though it was a hard decision to make.

You have to know your limits. It sounds like you have found a good balance. It's hard to make choices like that when you have young children to think of.

I agree with Rachel. I hope you are less stressed now.

I think that's a wise choice. Your girls will appreciate having a not-so-stressed mommy while you're still accomplishing much of your goals -- and the bachelor's degree could always come later as you're more ready for it.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately: what's the point in getting to your goals quicker if you don't enjoy any of the process along the way? Life is a journey, and if you're not enjoying it at least sometimes ... well, that's silly. :-)
