When one of our kids had a birthday earlier this year we of course shopped around for presents. But I worried about remembering what gifts we liked and didn't like. So, I got a brilliant idea! Anytime I saw a gift I wanted to maybe buy and any thing my kids saw that they liked, I took a picture of it with my cell phone. Sweet! When their birthdays come around I'm much more prepared because I don't have to remember what it was they wanted from a few months ago. I've been using this idea for Christmas gifts too and so far so good. There's so many toys out now, from karaoke machines and karaoke songs to VTECH toys to stuffed animals that sing, talk, and dance, to a billion dolls and dress up clothes. And so on and so on and so on. Parents go kind of crazy with all that to choose from! This is a great way to narrow down the list. :D

Ohhhh, I love this idea! Thanks for sharing!
Fabulous idea! I've been doing something similar. I use my cell phone's note pad for my shopping list anyway, I just created a new list and add the gift item. When I see something I like I just add it as I go. Sometimes I'm going along and decide against something I have on my list and delete it. It's been a great tool...cell phones, who'd a thunk?
Smarty pants! Good idea.
