My family and I are officially in full-summer-swing mode. I hardly get on the computer anymore because of our schedule. Here's a breakdown of pretty much what we do during the week and what keeps me so busy. :)
Mondays - Babysitting day! I usually babysit only this day, so we do a lot of indoor activities and spend some time outdoors in our play area. Pretty laid back.
Tuesdays - Zoo/park day! This was our first year buying a zoo pass and we have loved it. (And not only do we get into our local zoo, but others we love to visit too!) On Tuesdays our zoo does what's called Zoo Buddies and we listen to books read by librarians about different animals and then the kids get to see new animals up close. After the zoo, we head to a nearby park where the school district offers free lunches.
Wednesdays - Pool day! We just bought a pool and slip n' slide ($14 total, woohoo!) and they both have been a blast. We get all the neighbor kids to come play with us and everyone has a great time. (A neighbor and myself even had some fun on the slip n' slide, lol!) I'm glad we bought them both because it's a fun way to pass the time and good exercise too.
Thursdays - Movie day! This is also the first year we bought summer movie tickets. At one of our theaters they offer a deal where you pay $6.50/person to see 11 movies. Uh yeah, that's an AWESOME deal considering you normally only get to watch 3 movies for the same price. So the four of us bought tickets and ever Thursday we go see a new movie. (I'll be sure to post them in my movie reviews.)
Fridays - Library/bike/park day! On Friday, we enjoy time spent at the library. For the second year in a row, we joined in on the summer reading program at both of our libraries and that's always fun. We will also go to the park and take part in the free lunches and let the girls play. I think we might start biking to the library and/or to the park this day too. Again, good exercise for us and great fun for the girls.
So there you have it, us in a summer nutshell. We've been busy, but we're doing well. If you have a minute to comment, I'd love to hear about the fun summer activities you and your family are doing too. :)

Oh, sounds so fun! Makes me really sad we aren't up there to join in on some of that stuff. We don't have any fun stuff planned. I really need to see when story times and stuff are.
Gosh, so much fun stuff! Way to go -- you are really gonna make so many memories this summer!!
Wow, it sounds like you have a fun, busy schedule! It's great that you have so many fun and inexpensive things that you can do!
Do we have the same life? J/k. Ours is a lot like that. (Minus the bikes, and the movies!)
Glad you got the slip-n-slide. Made my day. That's for sure!
