If it's not one thing, it's another

On a message board I’m a part of, the topic of privacy and the government came up. It mainly consisted of how easily our information is given out to other people/companies. I know all too well how this can happen and sometimes I can’t even explain it. For instance, when I was engaged to my now husband, mail with my name on it was sent to his house. Not only that, but they would get mail with my first name and my soon-to-be last name on it. How on earth?? Another instance, I recently switched car insurance but I still get an auto insurance quote from different companies saying hey, we hear you’re looking for a new policy, come join us now! Even though you asked to be taken off mailing and calling lists, so much still gets through. It really does make you worry about your privacy, that’s all I can say.
