What you expect is not always what you get

When I graduated, I expected to feel a huge weight lifted off my shoulders. Partly, I did but I still feel like I have more to do. Probably because I still have my license exam to take. Maybe after that I'll feel more at ease and more relaxed. So, other than that, I figured I could get a break. Yeah, not so much.

After graduation we had some dear friends in town for three days and three nights. 11 people in my small apartment was pretty exciting! We loved it though. Our friends are awesome!! After that, we had to get ready to move. That whole process was tricky and nightmare-ish and took a few weeks but we finally received the go ahead to move!

Ever tried to pack and move in the same day? It's exciting and stressful. We ended up moving all the big furniture items the first day, finished packing everything on the second day, moved the rest of our things on the third day, did a bunch of shopping for the new apartment (i.e. a new baby crib because our old one was recalled and a new deep freezer) and picked up a washer and dryer from my inlaws the fourth day, and cleaned our old place the fifth day.

On one hand, it was nice to break up the move. On the other hand, it still felt like we crammed a ton into only a few days lol! But we did it and now all that's left is to unpack. I had a lot of motivation the first few days we were here, now though, not so much. I thought at this point I could relax a bit but then I was told I have both a talk in church and a lesson to give this Sunday. So, I may have expected to be on a long break but life really doesn't work that way. I'll have to take my breaks in stolen moments here and there and that's ok. :)

Darn, I'm sorry you didn't get the break you wanted...maybe soon. Although with life, you never know what's going to happen next!
