Isn't he cute? Built him myself, with the girl's help. :D I found this recipe, but didn't have some of the ingredients. So instead of running to the store, I grabbed a regular cake mix box and viola! Our snowman started to come to life! I borrowed a small round bowl from Cami for the head and then used a medium size round cake pan for the body. (Because I used a cake mix, I had plenty of batter left over to fill another round cake pan.)
We set the "head" and "belly" on a cookie sheet and decorated with vanilla frosting. Then we sprinkled both with yummy coconut. The eyes are brown M&M's, the nose a gumdrop, the mouth is a cherry Twizzlers Pull n' Peel licorice, the arms are black licorice (I couldn't find chocolate licorice so I had to make due with yucky black :P), the buttons are peppermints, and the scarf is made out of strawberry fruit leather.
We had fun making the little snowman and it was really easy. Initially, I made this to take to a church dinner, but they said they didn't need any more desserts. So now I have a cute snowman sitting on my stove waiting to be eaten. Anyone want a bite? Or three? :)

Turned out VERY CUTE!!! And, it doesn't look that unporportioned either, like we were expecting. I might have to try one of these. I think the kids would love it!
Gosh, he is super-cute! Great job!
So cute! Look at you go! I would eat it!
That is so cute! Too bad I hate coconut so it doesn't look yummy to me lol, but it is cute :D
