Apparently, I'm not doing a very good job at preventing illness in our home because Miss J and I were sick not even two weeks ago and here we are, sick again. I'm grateful we're sick this week and not next, when school starts, but I'm pretty irritated that we're sick at all. I took Miss J to the dr yesterday and he said it was "a viral infection," or in English, "I don't know what it is and I can't treat it. Have fun." By some of the sores in her mouth, he thought she could possibly have hand foot and mouth disease, but he wasn't positive. I just love paying a dr to tell me he doesn't know what's wrong with my child. Anyway, she's feeling better today and her throat doesn't look as bad.
Me, on the other hand, not so good. My "fun" started about 3pm yesterday. With a combination of fever, chills, weakness, aches, and sore throat, I was pretty miserable. Other than my border line strep throat, my own personal nemeses, I'm feeling a little better today.
Well, that's my vent for the day. There's so much I need to do this week and being sick throws everything off. I really need to do some research on preventative care because I'm tired of getting sick all the time. If anyone knows of some good ways to do that, I'd be happy to hear about them.

Hey there! I haven't been here in a while, but it's been a busy summer for everyone. Sorry you're sick. I hate that "It's a virus" excuse from the Dr. I totally agree that's what they say when they don't know what's wrong. It's Ok when it's just you, but when it's your kid, you want them to take some action!;)
Awww, soo sorry you are sick! Sometimes I hate drs and their lame excuses!! Hurry up and get better my friend. Wish we were closer, I would bring you some chicken soup. Might be kinda gross if I tried this far away! Take it easy my friend, eat some cookies, they always make you feel better!
I'm sorry you are sick :( I hope you get feeling better quickly. Are you all ready to go back to school?
I have heard that disinfecting the doar knobs is a good trick. Not that my family is one to talk! Glad your fealing better
