Let's think about the potty shall we?

My oldest is very close to really wanting to be potty trained. Being the loving parent I am, I have gone in search of movies about going "potty" in hopes of sparking even more desire in my child. Oh my, the things I have found.

My latest find was a movie I picked up at the library called Once Upon A Potty. Success! My child loves it! But, I can't help myself from laughing at it. They talk about the body parts and what exactly comes out each end. That's fine by me, after all a child should know. Well, I was busy doing something else and I just happened to glance up during this discussion and I see the little cartoon girl bending over with her head between her knees, bum facing the TV screen and they were talking about the hole where the "poo-poo" comes out. Oh. My. Word.

I was very surprised at first then I had to laugh. I would have never thought to do that for a movie about going potty. Anyway, the movie continues and I continue to glance up every so often. Every time they said the words "wee-wee" and "poo-poo" I had to laugh. Do people actually say "wee-wee"? Maybe I missed the boat on that one. Well, the next time I glance up the little girl had gone "wee-wee" and "poo-poo" (sorry, the words just crack me up lol) on the floor by her potty. Needless to say, pudding has now been ruined for me here on out because that's what her "poo-poo" looked like.

*Sigh* If it helps my child, it's all worth it. She also loves the Bear in the Big Blue House potty movie, but I won't get started on that one. ;) Hopefully no one was eating while reading this.

LOL! I wonder if that would get my toddler interested? He could care less about the potty.

You can try it. :) There's one for boys and one for girls. They always had the boy ones on hand but it was awhile before I could get the girl one.

I'll have to look for it :)

LOL! Funny stuff there Michelle.
I've seen the BIBBH episode with the potty, it's a good one. I suppose we need to be factual about things when teaching them, and not attach any stigmatism to things, they are too young to understand that.
Good luck with the potty training.
My dad use to tell the dogs to go weefee... what the monkey?!? That would crack me up.

So we got the movie from the library, lol, it is silly. Toddler loves it, but still has no interest in using his potty :P

Lorie, you'd get a kick out of it.

Kara, glad toddler likes it! It will kick in sometime before we die. That's what I'm hoping for anyway. lol
