I notice that they sit and listen and are more attentinve without me or their little siblings running around distracting everyone. In a younger class that is more easily tolerated but in general older children/preschoolers are able to sit longer, without distractions of course.Leihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13602022032114765911noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30668075.post-76908303056364484602008-02-19T11:22:00.000-07:002008-02-19T11:22:00.000-07:00I'm glad it's not only me. :D Thanks ladies.I'm glad it's not only me. :D Thanks ladies.Michellehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17753058521271910247noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30668075.post-23981366815641216432008-02-19T10:52:00.000-07:002008-02-19T10:52:00.000-07:00I would guess it is to help the child get used to ...I would guess it is to help the child get used to not being with their parent at all times since it is getting close to school age. Stuff like that never bothered me. I would ask them though for their specific reasoning on it.Ginnyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09928304350897366869noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30668075.post-12810675534747895792008-02-19T10:42:00.000-07:002008-02-19T10:42:00.000-07:00I've never come across a story time that they don'...I've never come across a story time that they don't allow the parents to go to. I hesitated putting L in the bigger class even though he does great in Sunbeams without me ... for him, I think he acts much more mature if I'm not with him. (Is that weird?)

I'm not really bothered by the separation except that I am CURIOUS as to what happens and how he reacts! When (if) I ever end up sending him in, I'll have to rig him up with spy equipment. ;-)Bethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13870296621798497300noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-30668075.post-3074087012479857182008-02-17T22:49:00.000-07:002008-02-17T22:49:00.000-07:00That does seem weird.
