"Don't step on a crack..."

"...or you'll break your mothers back!" Or in my case, "Don't wash both feet, or you'll fall out of the tub!" Sad, but true. Yesterday while showering, for some dorky reason, I washed one foot but didn't rinse it off before washing the next. As foot number two was being washed I slipped and fell backwards out of the tub. Thankfully I didn't hit my head, so I'm grateful for that. But I did land pretty hard on my lower back.

I spent most of the day alternating heat and ice which did help. Walking and sitting hasn't been too fun and it's hard to pick up the girls, but today isn't as bad, which I take as a very good sign. But a lesson to everyone reading this, wash one foot, rinse your foot, then move to the other foot. Oh, and make sure you stop cleaning your tub, it only makes it more slippery.

The whole thing was so stupid. I feel like some old lady that slipped and fell. :P

Oh no! So sorry you hurt your head.

But I'm glad you have a sense of humor about it. Your loss is my gain, I guess, in the form of a humorous blog post.

But that sounds like I'm a jerky friend though. No, I really AM sorry about your head!! :-(

Yeah, I lose. :-P Your BACK I mean. You even said that in your first line.

I'm sorry about your back!!! AND the fact that I'm a jerky friend and didn't read your post carefully enough to realize it was your back. :-P

(Maybe I'M the one who hit my head. Unknowingly.)

I'm so sorry!!! I hope you're feeling better soon. If it makes you feel any better, here's what I did over the course of the past week: 1. broke a molar eating a frozen candy bar (very smart right?) 2. got hit in the temple by a crashing metal baby bed...(in our van) 3. ran into the light fixture in the dining room and saw stars....

So you shouldn't feel stupid at all!

Are you feeling better now?
My kids have learned that little poem now and whenever we go ANYWHERE they try to step on the cracks and see how much it hurts me... oh my aching back!
